Victorian School Sports Awards 2025
A total of 53 awards - including 33 Sporting Blue Awards - were presented to government school students who excelled in their chosen sport, and to staff who made an outstanding contribution to school sport in 2025.
Champion Australian diver and journalist Laura Hingston facilitated the award ceremony, which was attended by 250 guests.
Also in attendance as special guest presenters were Taekwondo athlete Gabriella Blewitt and Paralympian runner Reece Langdon. Among the 53 award recipients was Chloe Spencer from Maribyrnong College, who won bronze at the Cadet World Championships in the United Arab Emirates. Chloe was recognised with an Outstanding Sporting Achievement Award for her exceptional commitment to her sporting pursuits in 2025.
Alisa Kayukov from Eltham High School received the Lindsay Gaze Outstanding Sports Leadership Award for her exceptional contribution to volleyball for both school and community teams. She captained Team Vic to gold in 2024 and returned as student assistant coach in 2025, helping them win bronze. With a swag of state and national medals, she is a role model and leader on and off the court.
The award ceremony also recognised the invaluable role of those who contribute to school sport as officials and coordinators, as well as schools achieving great outcomes in creating participation opportunities for their students. Accolades included an Outstanding Student Official Award, Spirit of Sport Award, School Sport Victoria Life Membership Awards, Team Vic Awards, Teacher of the Year Awards, Coordinator of the Year Awards and School and Community Partnership Awards.
