How undergraduate employment-based programs work
You could complete a bachelor of secondary or specialist education in 4-4.5 years with the support of:
- paid employment in a government school while you study
- a government-funded scholarship of $30,000, and
- additional scholarships are available for First Nations people
Disclaimer: all scholarships or additional incentives through these programs are taxable payments.
Higher education providers will deliver these programs in 2025, providing the opportunity for people in targeted regional areas who have existing relationships with Victorian government secondary or specialist schools to upskill and obtain teaching qualifications.
