Bully Stoppers: students

What to do if you’re being bullied, have witnessed bullying or have been called a bully.

Bullying is never okay. It is hurtful and can affect someone for a long time.

Bullying is when a person or a group of people repeatedly and deliberately cause distress and harm to another person either in person or online.

There are many kinds of bullying. It isn’t the same as a ‘normal’ conflict between people (such as having an argument or a fight) and it isn’t about disliking someone. Bullying is ongoing behaviour by someone who has power over someone else.

If you are being bullied or know someone who is being bullied, you are not alone. As well as family and friends, there are people at school that you can talk to who can help stop the bullying. There are also things that you can do to make yourself feel more positive and hopeful.

Bully Stoppers can help you understand bullying and provides information about what to do if you or someone you know is being bullied.
