Our women’s leadership programs

The Victorian Government’s women’s leadership programs are for women and gender diverse people of all ages and backgrounds. They include scholarships, awards and networking opportunities. Our leadership programs help women and gender diverse people of all ages and backgrounds to build their leadership skills. We:

ECHO First Nations Women’s Leadership Program

The Elevating Connections and Healing Ourselves program is open to First Nations women in Victoria. ECHO provides a culturally appropriate and safe space to build on participants’ leadership roles.

Joan Kirner Emerging Leaders Program

Get essential skills, networks and experiences to develop as a leader. This leadership program is open to women in Victoria aged 22-40.

Women of Colour Executive Leadership Program

This program is designed for Women of Colour including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, who currently hold or aspire to hold senior leadership roles in their workplaces.

Victorian Honour Roll of Women Program

Celebrating the outstanding contributions made by Victorian women and acknowledging the many ways in which they have made a lasting contribution to our state.

The Office for Women has previously supported these leadership programs.

PACE (Participate, Advocate, Communicate, Engage) Leadership Program

This program strengthens the way migrant and refugee women, gender diverse and non-binary people leaders take the lead within their workplaces, communities and everyday lives.

Women’s Board Leadership Program

The Victorian Government is committed to advancing gender equality and increasing the diversity and representation of women serving on boards.

This program was funded and administered by Local Government Victoria.

Women Leading Locally

Women Leading Locally is a community leadership program that is encouraging women aspiring to run in local council elections in 31 target municipalities to step forward and apply for a fellowship that will provide them with the skills, tools and support to campaign.
