About the Honour Roll

The Victorian Honour Roll of Women recognises women who show remarkable leadership and excellence in their:

The Honour Roll elevates the significant contributions of Victorian women. This includes trans women and gender diverse people.

The Honour Roll works to counter restrictive and harmful gender norms. We do this by increasing the visibility of women as role models and leaders.

The Honour Roll was established in 2001 as part of Victoria’s centenary celebrations. More than 790 women have been inducted into the Honour Roll.

Key dates

Assessment period: April to June 2026

Notification of outcomes: July 2026

Ceremony: September 2026 (TBC)

Assessing nominations

An independent panel of women are assessing all eligible 2026 Honour Roll nominations.

The panel members represent a diverse cross-section of the Victorian community. Several are Honour Roll inductees from previous years. The panel will determine a shortlist of nominees. The Minister for Women will consider the shortlist and select the final inductees.

We may contact referees during the shortlisting process to verify or clarify information.
