Project controls and reporting

Understand project reporting obligations and how project controls can help manage project risk, program, budget and quality.

Project reporting

Project reporting requirements will vary depending on the project’s size and complexity.

Regular project reporting is an important way to inform key stakeholders of project progress, risks, and other challenges, which may require corrective action at various levels within the project governance structure. Reporting will allow you to ensure that both the TAFE and contractors are meeting compliance requirements under government policies.

Project controls

Project controls are processes for gathering and reviewing information to ensure that a project achieves its stated objectives and is capable of realising the benefits outlined during the project definition, funding and approvals phase.

Project controls aim to minimise any negative impact to budget, program or quality from what was originally planned. Regardless of the project’s size or complexity, integrating appropriate and effective project control processes will help ensure it remains on track and maximises the anticipated benefits.
