Kindergarten Information Management System

The Kindergarten Information Management System (KIMS) was previously used for kindergarten funding applications, data collection, and reporting. This is now done through Arrival.

On this page

Arrival has replaced KIMS for kindergarten funding, enrolment data collection and Annual Confirmation. Access the Arrival system and find out more on Arrival.

School Readiness Funding through KIMS

From 2026, the Kindergarten Information Management System (KIMS) is limited in its use, with most funding functionality managed in Arrival.

Funded service providers will continue to use KIMS to complete School Readiness Funding (SRF) requirements such as developing a School Readiness Funding Plan and end-of-cycle reporting.

Service providers with an active School Readiness Funding Plan will retain access to KIMS for these purposes.

Application support

For KIMS and Arrival technical support, please contact the Arrival Helpdesk at: arrival.helpdesk@education.vic.gov.au.

Data collection

All kindergarten funding, data collection, and Annual Confirmation processes are managed through the Arrival system.

To receive ongoing kindergarten funding, service providers must ensure information about the service provider, service, workforce and children is accurate and up to date in Arrival.
