Rikki honed her expertise in safe work practices on hazardous sites working as a production technician in the export of iron ore in Port Hedland, Western Australia.

Rita - Special process torque tightening manufacturing engineer, Alstom Group

Rita completed a mechanical engineering degree and started her manufacturing career with Toyota, becoming the first woman engineer on site at Toyota as a quality engineer.

Yalanie - Engineering fabrication trade apprentice, Catten Industries

Yalanie is in her first year of a school-based apprenticeship in engineering fabrication trade at Catten Industries.

Courtney - Formulations specialist, Bega Group

Courtney studied food science and biotechnology before moving to Strathmerton in Victoria’s central north to work at the Bega Group as a formulations specialist.

Sandra - Head of packaging transformation, Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO)

Sandra is a mentor with the National Association of Women in Operations program.

Working together to support gender equality

In a unique collaboration the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union and Viva Energy’s Geelong Refinery are working together to support gender equality.
