This toolkit is one of eight designed to support Local Government to understand, prepare for and actively support the recovery of their communities following a disaster.

Toolkit 03, When disaster strikes: the first days and weeks, assumes that recovery readiness will have occurred and builds on this preparatory work by addressing the factors contributing to recovery success as they relate to the first days and weeks following a disaster.

The Local Government Recovery Toolkit is currently being updated. The toolkit will become part of a Local Government Emergency Management Toolkit.
