維州老年人
不論你的年齡
每個人都可能會有在水邊的風險。
研究顯示65歲以上人士遇溺的風險較大。去年,大部份遇溺事故是意外滑倒而跌落水所導致的。
如果你65歲以上而在水附近︰
- 對危險保持警覺
- 記住,酒精和藥物會影響你的游泳能力
- 時刻小心,降低意外跌落水的風險。
絕不高估你的游泳能力,在靠近水時亦不要低估那些風險。
幼兒(0–4歲)的家長和照顧者
只需20秒即可讓一個幼童溺斃。
溺水意外生還的幼童 很多幼童需要留醫,並可能會遺留永久殘障。
切記要限制兒童接近有水的地方。
無論在洗澡時候,
在海灘,
或在游泳池邊…….
切記要密切監督水邊的兒童,意指在伸手可及的範圍內。絕不把你的視線移開在水邊的兒童。
有風險的男士
夏天,享受水上活動的最佳理由。
無論你和朋友在河邊,
在船上釣魚,
或者在游泳池裡,請記住幾件事情︰
- 對水邊危險保持警戒
- 切勿參與冒險行為
- 切記有些事情(如酒精和藥物)不要與水上活動混合。
享受水上活動的同時,最重要的是,注意你的朋友和你自己。
請勿獨自一人游泳
我們時常以為自己游泳很厲害,尤其在長期沒游過泳的情況下。請勿陷自身於險境。
意外可能就在不經意間發生,例如抽筋、透支或突發健康問題。若身邊無救助人員,或者無人可以幫忙求救,情況會很快惡化。
結伴游泳,即便出現緊急情況,察覺險情並採取應對措施的幾率都大大增加。
了解天氣狀況
維州天氣多變且急變。無論您想潛泳、浮泳還是留在岸灘,出發前一日以及出行當天都請密切留意天氣。

須留意:
- 情況變化,
- 降溫,
- 風向變化/強風或者
- 能影響水上活動的大浪。
只要涉水,一旦發現情況不適宜按計劃開展活動,就要隨機應變。請勿以身試險。
酒精會減損泳術及判斷力
酒精的影響因人而異。因此,何為安全的酒精含量,沒有萬能的準繩。即使小酌些許,也可能影響行為與能力,增加遇溺風險。
酒精能增加遇溺風險,因為:
- **會減損判斷力。**酒精使人思維混亂,無法辨識風險和個人能力程度
- **會增加冒險行為。**酒精使人無所避忌
- **會降低身體協調能力。**酒精使人感官麻痺,尤其是視覺、聽覺和觸覺,導致飄忽、空間感變弱以及無法攀爬和游泳,一旦發生意外難以逃脫
- 減損反應時間。酒精屬抑制劑,令大腦處理資訊遲鈍。對於水中遇險,反應時間至關重要,關乎生死。
游泳時切勿離開紅黃旗之間的區域
在澳洲,紅黃旗表示水域有救生員和救生警衛巡邏/監管,這些人員穿著紅黃色制服。每一日,救生員和救生警衛都會尋找海灘上最安全的泳區,以避開急流和礁石區。紅黃旗之間的區域是最安全的泳區。並非所有海灘都有巡邏人員。若見不到紅黃旗,請勿下水。切記,若救生員或救生警衛見不到您,就無法施救。
