Vacancies accepted on the Family Violence Jobs Portal
Clarification of who can use the Family Violence Jobs Portal and the types of roles accepted.
I am not a Victorian government funded organisation. Can I still upload my family violence-related job onto the Jobs portal?
Yes, all family violence-related roles in Victoria can be uploaded onto the jobs portal, whether or not you receive Victorian government funding.
I am an organisation that employs gender-equity, women’s health or other primary prevention-type roles. Can I still upload my job on the portal?
Yes, we welcome all primary prevention-type roles onto the jobs portal. This includes a wide range of community-based organisations, such as local councils, heath services or sporting clubs, who may employ people in roles that promote healthy, respectful relationships and gender equality.
I am an organisation that works within The Orange Door but I am hiring for a child wellbeing position. Can I still use the Jobs portal to upload my jobs?
Yes, child wellbeing positions that are based in The Orange Door locations can be uploaded onto the Jobs portal. All Orange Door-related roles are welcome.
If you are an organisation primarily delivering child and family services that are not part of The Orange Door, please contact Family Safety Victoria (FSV) to discuss your individual circumstances. You can email the Centre for Workforce Excellence for more information.
I have voluntary positions (such as for a board member) that I would like to upload to the Jobs portal. Can I use the jobs portal for voluntary positions?
You can use the Jobs portal to upload board member vacancies. However, at this stage, other voluntary roles, such as student placements, cannot be advertised on the portal. This will be reviewed once an evaluation of the portal’s effectiveness has been undertaken. Please feel free to contact the Centre for Workforce Excellence if you would like to discuss this further.
I am a private company or organisation that employs workers who support family violence clients, such as counsellors, psychologists, therapists etc? Can I use the portal to upload my jobs?
The jobs portal was developed to support the Victorian family violence sector in growing the specialist response, perpetrator and primary prevention workforces. This primarily includes community and not-for-profit organisations.
At this stage, private companies are not included within the scope of this campaign. However, please contact the Centre for Workforce Excellence if you would like to discuss your individual circumstances.
