Transport Accessibility Strategic Framework

The Victorian Government wants to make sure everyone can use public transport easily. In Victoria, 1.1 million people have a disability. Our ageing population and people with mobility challenges also need help to use the public transport network.

To make transport easier for everyone, we’ve developed a new framework to support accessible transport.

In making this plan, we focused on the needs of people with disabilities, listening to their experiences and ideas from all over Victoria.

We looked at the entire transport system to find ways to make it better for people with disabilities.

The plan will guide how we make things better for people with disabilities whether they are catching a tram, train or on the roads, parking or using bike lanes and shared paths.
