如果您來自難民或尋求庇護者家庭,您可能有資格入讀早教啟蒙幼稚園(Early Start Kindergarten,簡稱 ESK)。ESK 計畫可幫助確保您的孩子每週獲得最多的免費幼稚園課程時數。
申請方法
所有幼稚園課程均提供 ESK,並由合資格教師授課。家長可聯絡就近的幼稚園為子女報名,並要求申領「早教啟蒙幼稚園」補助金。幼稚園服務機構可以使用免費翻譯服務,以您的語言提供書面資訊。
您亦可以致電 1800 338 663 聯絡教育部的三歲學童幼稚園諮詢熱線,或聯絡當地議會尋求協助。如需母語協助,請致電 131 450 聯絡全國翻譯服務(National Translating and Interpreting Service),並要求傳譯員致電聯絡當地市政府或教育部,傳譯員會於通話期間提供傳譯服務。
何時申請
如果您的子女在入讀三歲幼稚園的當年 4 月 30 日前滿三歲,則符合 ESK 資格。請參閱「何時註冊」。
如果您的子女出生於 1 月 1 日至 4 月 30 日之間,您可以選擇他們從哪一年開始三歲幼稚園課程。您的子女可以在滿三歲當年開始三歲幼稚園課程,或選擇在滿四歲當年入學。若您的子女在滿三歲當年開始三歲幼稚園課程,他們將在滿五歲當年開始上小學。若您選擇讓子女在滿四歲當年才開始三歲幼稚園課程,他們將在滿六歲當年開始上小學。

是否應讓子女就讀四歲幼稚園?
是的,曾就讀「早教啟蒙幼稚園」的兒童亦符合資格免費或低成本就讀四歲幼稚園。2025 年起,四年制幼稚園將逐漸轉變為學前預備班。從 2026 年起,符合以下條件的學童將可以每週參與 25 小時的學前預備班課程:
- 來自難民或尋求庇護者背景的兒童
- 原住民及/或托雷斯海峽島島民兒童
- 其家庭曾接受兒童保護服務的兒童。
若您的子女前一年已透過 ESK 註冊,即可確保每週獲得更多的學前預備班課程時數,無論他們居住於維多利亞州何處。即使家庭未在前一年註冊 ESK,仍可獲得學前預備班資格。
