Statewide Cladding Audit

On 30 June 2023, the Victorian Building Authority (now the Building and Plumbing Commission) concluded its role in the Statewide Cladding Audit, with responsibility for the identification of buildings with combustible cladding transferred to Cladding Safety Victoria and local councils.

Buildings with unacceptable risk of fire spread caused by combustible cladding receive funding assistance from CSV. Read more about Cladding Safety Victoria’s $600M Cladding Rectification Program.

Owners of buildings not eligible for funding are assisted with guidance and advice from Cladding Safety Victoria through the Cladding Remediation Partnership Program which focusses on buildings where combustible cladding is present, but presents a lower risk.

More information about the Statewide Cladding Audit is on the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) website.
