Signed project declarations under the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act (MTPFA)
Project declarations signed by the Victorian Premier under the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act (MTPFA) 2009. If the Premier has assessed a transport project, or a program of works or projects, to be of economic, social or environmental significance to the State or a region of the State, the Premier can make a declaration under the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009 (Act) that the project is a declared project to which all of the Act applies or to which all of the Act except Parts 3 and 8 applies.
The Premier must have regard to the declaration guidelines for the purposes of assessing the economic, social or environmental significance of a transport project. The declaration guidelines were updated in September 2025.
