Overview
School Jobs Vic is the department’s recruitment system for Victorian government school jobs.
Whether you are an employee seeking a promotion or transfer opportunity to take the next step in your career or looking for your first job, you will find all Victorian government school jobs, including executive class, principal, assistant principal, teacher and education support class vacancies here.
There are multiple ways to apply for jobs in Victorian government schools, by:
- searching and applying for available vacancies
- submitting your interest in the Applicant Pool
Applicant Pool
Create a profile in the Applicant Pool to connect with school recruiters and be considered for roles based on your preferences. This makes recruitment easier for both applicants and schools alike.
To join the Applicant Pool, all you need to do is:
- create a profile
- upload your CV/resume
- list your preferences including location, FTE and role type.
Once your profile is set up, school recruiters can access your profile and contact you if you are suitable for a position in their school. There’s no need for individual applications with written responses to selection criteria each time. Selection criteria will be used to determine suitability as part of the interview stage. You can update your preferences at any time, including deselecting certain schools.
Matching teachers and education support class to roles
Teachers (including graduate teachers applying for their first teaching roles) and applicants seeking education support class level 1 range 2 (ES 1.2) roles also benefit from the Applicant Pool matching.
School recruiters can post a vacancy and applicants in the Applicant Pool with matching preferences will be matched to the vacancy. You will receive an email notification alerting you to the match.
You can manage your matches within your profile, update your preferences at any time or withdraw from matches as needed. The matching is available for classroom teacher, graduate teacher and ES 1.2 roles.
