Reports of the Special Manager

The Special Manager regularly reported to the Victorian Government and the community. The Special Manager for the Melbourne Casino Operator and his office have concluded work. The website has been transferred to the Department of Justice and Community Safety.(opens in a new window)

Reporting

The Special Manager provided 6-monthly interim reports, and a final report on a confidential basis to the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC)(opens in a new window) and the Minister for Casino, Gaming and Liquor Regulation.

Redacted versions of the Special Manager’s interim reports and final report were prepared following the VGCCC’s decision(opens in a new window) on Crown’s licence. The limited number of redactions related to the detail and operation of Crown’s anti-money laundering process and controls, privacy grounds, and information obtained from Crown employees and managers subject to assurances of confidentiality. ‘Appendix 1 – Crown documents’ were not published as they contained commercial-in-confidence and legally privileged information.

The Office of the Special Manager also published four 6-monthly activity reports during the Special Manager’s term. The activity reports provided community and other stakeholders with an update on the Special Manager’s work and key activities during the relevant reporting period.
