Procurement support

Recycling Victoria supports best practice procurement management by councils, Alpine Resorts Victoria and service providers for waste, recycling and resource recovery services.

On this page

Under the Circular Economy (Waste Reduction and Recycling) Act 2021 (CE Act), a key function of Recycling Victoria is to support best practice procurement management by councils, Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) and service providers for waste, recycling or resource recovery services.

Strategic Procurement Framework

The Strategic Procurement Framework sets out how Recycling Victoria will deliver its procurement support function, including the resources that we will provide to support councils and Alpine Resorts Victoria.

About the Strategic Procurement Framework

The Strategic Procurement Framework sets out how Recycling Victoria will develop resources and tools such as guidance, case studies and templates for the different stages of a procurement and coordinate opportunities for councils and ARV to share knowledge, insights and lessons learned.

Where appropriate, we may also provide ad-hoc support to councils and ARV, such as providing data to assist with procurement planning.

The Strategic Procurement Framework has been developed with legal and probity advice to ensure the support we provide is consistent with our role under the CE Act and does not create a conflict of interest.

Next steps

Recycling Victoria will engage with key stakeholders to help inform and prioritise the support we provide under the framework.

If you have any questions about the framework or Recycling Victoria’s procurement support function, please contact us on rvstrategicprocurement@deeca.vic.gov.au(opens in a new window)

Consultation on the Strategic Procurement Framework
