Leanne and Thomas’ story
Leanne explains how her son Thomas has become more independent through the NDIS “It’s about choice, it’s about options – and don’t be afraid of what you might lose start to dream about what you might gain”
Leanne says that the NDIS brought her teenage son Thomas greater choices in life, and the opportunity for him to do more of the things he wanted to do.
And as Thomas’s independence and confidence grew with the NDIS, so too did her family’s.
Leanne says that their world has gone from a very small place where they carried a really heavy load of responsibility to a much bigger place, with the NDIS.
“It’s about choice, it’s about options – and don’t be afraid of what you might lose start to dream about what you might gain,” she says.
