A new industry policy

Since 2016, the Victorian Government’s relationship with industry has been shaped by the Future Industries Strategy. Now, aligning with these five priority sectors and our state’s continued economic growth, the Government will release a new industry policy – aimed at shifting the dial on productivity, competitiveness and sustainability.

Victoria’s new Industry Policy will drive innovation and conditions that benefit Victorian businesses and workers while leveraging opportunities from the Commonwealth’s National Reconstruction Fund and Future Made in Australia investments.

The Victorian Industry Policy was released in June 2025. Visit the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions website to download the policy.
