No matter where you are in your TAFE and training journey, it’s important to keep track of key dates.

The following dates in the TAFE and training calendar are important to consider.

Application deadlines

Application deadlines can vary depending on your course and campus. Make sure you check with your TAFE or training provider to secure your place.

Study terms

A study term is a set period of time when your classes and assessments take place. There are usually 4 study terms per academic year. Each TAFE can have different term dates, so it’s important to confirm these with your chosen TAFE.

Some TAFEs offer orientation weeks at the beginning of the year, and some may also run courses during the summer break from mid-December until late January.

VET student loan and census dates

The VET census date is important for students who are enrolled at TAFE. This usually occurs a few weeks into your study term. It is the last date enrolled students can:
