Schools not found in the directory

What to do if you cannot locate a school in the Victorian Government Schools Directory. The Victorian Government Schools Directory is intended to be a comprehensive listing of Victorian state schools.

However, we know that records can be incomplete and references to some schools could have been lost over time. This means that some schools may not be listed in the directory.

If you can’t find a specific school

Here are some things to try if you can’t locate a school:

The school may have changed names, so make sure you check the search results for all the previous school names listed.
Try alternate spellings of the school name in the search field.
If you know the location, search by the town or suburb and see if you can find the school using the map.

If a school is missing or a school entry is incorrect/incomplete

If you are sure you have the correct details for a school but it is missing from our directory, or a school entry is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know!

We want to make the directory as complete and accurate as possible and we can only do that with help from those who may have access to historic information or local knowledge.
