Hume Tech School
The new Hume Tech School will be completed in Term 3, 2026. Located at Bendigo Kangan Institute, Broadmeadows campus, the Tech School will connect local students to their futures by providing free access to innovative, hands-on STEM learning for all secondary students in the Hume local government area.

- Term 2: State Budget investment of $116 million to build 6 new Tech Schools and establish a Clean Energy Equipment Fund.
- Term 4: Tech School Director appointed.

2024
- Term 1: Consultation and co-design meetings for facility and program design began.

2025
- Term 2: Construction of Tech School begins.
- Term 3: Tech School programs are developed and piloted with input from local schools, industry and community leaders.

2026
- Term 3: Hume Tech School is completed.
