Finding cheaper fuel is easier with Servo Saver
Compare real-time prices from over 1,200 fuel retailers. Published: Wednesday 15 October 2025 at 9:07 am

Servo Saver is a new feature on the Service Victoria app that gives motorists a quick and easy way to find the best fuel prices nearby.
With live data from more than 1,200 fuel retailers across Victoria, you can now compare prices on the go and make informed decisions before filling up.
We worked closely with fuel retailers and industry partners to make the new Servo Saver tool easy to use for both motorists and businesses.
Savings when it matters most
With cost-of-living pressures rising, Servo Saver could save Victorian drivers hundreds of dollars a year. More than 1,200 fuel retailers across the state are now required to report their prices. These prices feed straight into Servo Saver, so drivers can check what’s on offer nearby and decide when and where to fill up.
Whether you’re commuting or planning a road trip, Servo Saver shows the unit price of fuel in every location across Victoria, in one handy app. It’s advertising-free, so doesn’t promote outlets or brands. This gives drivers clear, fair and up to date information to help them make the best choice.
You can also download and carry your digital driver licence in the same app - making life on the road even easier.
Why this matters
According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Melbourne drivers could have saved up to $333 in 2023, simply by shopping around, filling up when prices were lowest and choosing cheaper outlets. Servo Saver now makes it easier for Victorians to do this.
What’s next
Servo Saver is part of the Victorian Government’s Fair Fuel Plan, which is rolling out in two stages:
- Phase 1 is complete, with real-time price reporting now live across the state
- Phase 2 is in progress and requires fuel retailers to lock in their maximum price for 24 hours to give drivers more certainty and transparency.
