The Disability Inclusion Profile is completed by a Disability Inclusion Facilitator, with input from the people who understand a student’s education and support needs, including the student, their family and school staff.
Schools identify the students that need a Disability Inclusion Profile and work with families to create it. The profile is a written description of the student’s strengths and needs at school.
The profile helps schools give students adjustments and supports to enable them to participate on the same basis as their peers and to reach their full potential.
This instructional video shows the stages of a profile meeting. It will give attendees a clear impression of what to expect and what their role will be in the meeting.

Read a summary of key findings from the formal evaluation of Disability Inclusion:
Disability Inclusion at your child’s school
Your child’s school will support your child with their learning and provide the adjustments they need.
If your child is part of the Program for Students with Disability (PSD), they will continue to get support from their school. Disability Inclusion gradually replaces the PSD.
Your child’s school will let you know if the Disability Inclusion Profile is needed for your child and help you with the process.
Now that Disability Inclusion has rolled out to all schools, we will keep talking to schools, families and children with disability to make sure Disability Inclusion meets their needs.
Training, coaching and support initiatives continue to help schools deliver the support that students with disability and diverse learners need.
