West Gate Tunnel Project publications

The Victorian Government received a market-led proposal for the West Gate Tunnel Project from Transurban, operator of CityLink, in March 2015.

The government assessed the proposal and prepared a business case that found the West Gate Tunnel Project, formerly the Western Distributor, and the Monash Freeway Upgrade will deliver value for money and an $11 billion boost to Victoria’s economy.

Instrument of designation of project contractor for the West Gate Tunnel Project

The Minister for Roads and Road Safety has designated Transurban WGT Co Pty Ltd as the project contractor for the West Gate Tunnel Project and consented to Transurban WGT Co Pty Ltd sub-delegating some of those delegations to the D&C Contractor.
